Le Grand Macabre: ENO opera staged by fiery Catalans La Fura dels Baus

This was a very exciting project that I found in my photo collection.
Working with the English National Opera where this production was performed, I was asked to create this costume using wig making techniques and nylon threads.
As you can imagine it took a fair while to complete, especially with the extra one that was required for the understudy.


To go with this extravagant costume, I had to match a wig also made with nylon threads.


The result was stunning, whilst Susanna floated around above stage making the most out her flowing costume!


It was great to work with La Fura Dels Baus, they have some crazy ideas that powerfully blow your mind from the audience.
